GLAD DAY

A strategic partnership between Glad Day Bookshop and Purpose Growth to amplify event reach, streamline ticketing, and drive sustainable revenue through Eventbrite integration and microtransactions.

Front of Glad Day Book Shop

the project

Glad Day Bookshop previously faced three interconnected challenges: limited event reach, underutilized revenue opportunities, and a lack of actionable data for strategic growth. Their events depended heavily on local promotion and word-of-mouth, which restricted audience expansion; traditional ticketing provided little flexibility for maximizing revenue; and limited insights made it difficult to refine strategies. By addressing these issues through Eventbrite’s promotional tools, microtransaction features, and analytics, Purpose Growth ensured Glad Day could expand its audience, generate sustainable revenue, and make informed, data-driven decisions for long-term success

Limited Event Reach
Glad Day relies heavily on in-person attendance and word-of-mouth, limiting visibility to wider audiences.
Inefficient Revenue Streams
Traditional ticket sales lack flexibility and fail to maximize incremental revenue opportunities.
Limited Data for Strategic Growth
Glad Day has limited access to detailed analytics on audience behavior and campaign performance, making it difficult to refine strategies.

what we did

Purpose Growth successfully completed the integration of Glad Day Bookshop with Eventbrite, securing a free plan with microtransaction-based revenue generation and ensuring seamless setup of the ticketing system. Targeted promotional campaigns were executed to boost attendance at book launches, poetry nights, and drag shows, while exclusive bundles and discounts were introduced to maximize ticket sales. Eventbrite’s analytics tools were implemented to track ticket performance, audience engagement, and campaign results, providing Glad Day with actionable insights for future growth. Additionally, events were organized into curated collections to strengthen branding, improve discoverability, and streamline staff workflow. These completed efforts have already enhanced event promotion, increased revenue opportunities, and positioned Glad Day as a vibrant cultural hub in Toronto
